In only two weeks of being in theaters Star Wars The Last Jedi has proven to be the most divisive film of the saga. In my spoiler free review I tried my best to explain, without revealing any significant plot points, why the hate for Last Jedi is completely unnecessary and instead should be lauded for its bold direction. This review is filled with spoilers so I’m warning those now who haven’t seen the film to read at their own risk or read my spoiler free review here. I’ve noticed what aspects of the film people seemed to love and hate the most and analyzed whether they worked well or didn’t work at all. Firstly let’s begin with the most hated storyline of The Last Jedi, the Canto Bight sequence.
I’m not going to do a shot by shot analysis like I did The Last Jedi’s official teaser because this full length trailer has way too much going on — in a good way. I will, however, share my thoughts on how the story of Episode VIII may unfold based on some observations I’ve made.
As promised, a teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Last Jedi dropped yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous. I’ve watched it about a dozen times now, discussed with friends, and watched a handful of youtube videos dissecting the trailer.
OK!OK!OK! Apparently……. a teaser trailer for Star Wars Episode 8 is supposed to drop tomorrow as part of the 40th anniversary of the epic franchise. Forget Game of Thrones, forget my apparent hype for Ragnarok, all that matters is Last Jedi News!
I have been following every ounce of Star Wars news I could get ever since I walked out of the theatre for Force Awakens. Every little detail from toys, to official release dates, and even the title announcement of “Last Jedi” got me pumped for another adventure into the galaxy. Now, according to Express Entertainment, fans of the galaxy far, far way are expected to get a taste of not just a teaser but a full length trailer!!! After the footage drops at the annual Star Wars celebration, it is set, HOPEFULLY, to release on the official Star Wars YouTube Channel at around 12 ish EST.
Be sure to expect my reaction and review of the teaser trailer tomorrow…..
